Stuck on Skinny

I think I'm so stuck on my skinny jeans that I don't want to give any other denim a chance. But when the 1970s flare jean styled trend came back around for this past spring and summer, I really liked it. I mean, I even went out a bought a pair of the jeans in March, but I didn't wear the pair until last week. I wish I didn't have such an affinity for my skinny jeans, because I really think the flare look flatters me most. But for some reason, I feel frumpy in voluminous bottoms. Anybody feel that way too?

P.S. Excuse the poor picture quality.. I had my mom snap photos of me with my cell phone (which sometimes takes AMAZING photos, but sometimes doesn't) while in the grocery store!


Cardigan: Eddie Bauer
Shirt: Avenue
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Payless
Purse: Forever 21

By the way.. these wedges are extremely comfortable. I own more pairs of heels than I care to admit, but don't wear them often because I have to wear flats to work... but I've been running errands in these, that's how comfy they are! I love 'em :)

And, Sally Hansen came out with their own crackle nail polish.. I snapped up the gold, white and silver since I thought the neutrals would be easier to pair with other shades. This is the gold paired over some white polish. I like it, but the gold is sheer, so I'm not sure how well it might look over a dark polish. I'll have to try that soon. Anyone else pick these up; if so, what colors?!

  5. I love both flares and skinnies!!! :) And Old Navy makes some awesometastic pairs in both styles. Also, your nails are totally fab! I love them!!!

  7. Jazmine- but yet the flared jeans flatter my figure more.. what gives? haha

    LaCara-I remember wearing flares and boot cuts when in high school thinking people who wear tapered jeans were old.. and then when skinny jeans started to become popular, i started wearing them instead... but yet aren't skinny jeans really tapered? :) silly me!

    Sara- thanks for following! I'm glad you liked the modcloth swimsuits.. i like them too, but unfortunately have never purchased one from them. I find it difficult to spend more than like $30 on a swimsuit, haha.

    Laura- I only buy my jeans from old navy... ok that's a lie, but almost all the jeans I wear that I own are from Old Navy. They're always on top of the denim trends!
