Welcome to outfit number one! I wanted to do a different style for each outfit to represent all the different types of parties that go on throughout the holiday season. This one is probably my favorite, and I imagine wearing this to a casual, cool party with friends.
I am in love with this sequined jacket, which is the only new purchase in the entire holiday outfit challenge. I like heels but I don't wear them often enough to be entirely use to them. In fact after about 20 minutes in most pairs, I start complaining that my feet hurt, but it's not the case with these babies! These stilettos from Payless are the most comfortable heels I've ever put on (even better than wedges). I don't know what it is about them that make them great, but they are.
These pictures are taken in front of Lake Scranton. It's not actually a lake that you can go boating or swimming in (Sorry, The Office, you got that wrong), but it's owned by the water company, and it's not very large. In fact, most people use it as an exercising tool since you can walk/run around the perimeter (it's 3.5 miles). It has a great, scenic look out point, so I thought it would be great for pictures!
P.S. I learned throughout the day of taking all the photos with the different outfits that I am, indeed, not a model! :)
Sequined Blazer: Forever 21
Top: Avenue
Dress used as Skirt: Old Navy (very old)
Shoes: Payless (bought them in early fall 2010.. still might be at some stores, but couldn't find the link online!)
Belt: modcloth (taken from dress, also old)
Oh please, you could totally be a model. Two bits of advice - loosen up your hands, they're kind of stiff in a lot of photos, and don't sink your neck into your shoulders (because Tyra would totally yell at you for it!)
ReplyDeleteI love love love the arms out photograph. ^_^
