My first crush, ever, was Bruce Springteen. When I was a toddler, I wanted nothing more than to be able to dance with him like Courtney Cox did in the Dancing In The Dark music video. My mom always tells the story that whenever he came in the TV or on the radio that I would just pause and start dancing.
I've never actually seen him in concert, because, quite honestly, I'm not that big of a fan of his. Do I like his stuff? Yes. But, people in the NEPA area are obsessed with him (and maybe the whole country, I'm not sure). Maybe it's because he's from New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is neighbors to the Garden State, or maybe because a lot of his earlier music is about life in Asbury Park, and people can hop in their car and be there on those sandy beaches in about 3 hours (Note to Bloggers: NEVER go to Asbury Park.. it's very depressing). I don't know what it is, but I'm no where near their obsession, but I still like him.

Asbury Park is not depressing. They have fixed it up in the past 3-5 years. It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteKlaus- We must be looking at two different Asbury Park's then! :) It does have it's charm, though.
